Murphy Hospitality is a husband-and-wife small business based in Alexandria, Virginia. We believe great food should make your life easier, not more complicated. Forget choosing from a fixed menu of standardized meals; we build the service around what actually works for your household. And when your needs change, your menu can change, too.   • Family-Style or Individual Meals: From large-format dishes your family can portion throughout the week to fully prepared individual meals, we’ll find the right level of preparation for you.

  • Ingredients Your Way: We shop according to your priorities — whether that means keeping costs reasonable, choosing organic ingredients, sourcing from local farmers, prioritizing seasonal foods, or finding the right balance.

  • Diverse Dietary Needs Accommodated: Gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, low-carb, low-fat, high-protein, and more. Chef Devin has experience cooking across a wide range of dietary needs, including specialized desserts such as caffeine-free options.

Murphy Hospitality is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Devin and Jackie Murphy in Alexandria, Virginia. Chef Devin brings professional culinary and pastry training, experience cooking in Michelin kitchens, and years of experience teaching and catering. Today, Murphy Hospitality serves Northern Virginia through weekly meal delivery, private events, catering and cooking classes. When you work with us, you’re not another order number. You'll know the people planning your meals, cooking your food and delivering it to your home. There is no required menu, subscription box or one-size-fits-all package. We listen. We plan. We cook. We adjust.

Simple, transparent pricing

We don't believe every household needs the same service — so we don't charge everyone the same price.

  • Meal delivery costs = Cooking time + ingredients + applicable delivery or equipment costs

  • Event prep costs = priced per person depending on the complexity of the menu and the level of service required (we also offer post-event cleanup).

A family ordering several large-format dishes will have different needs from a household requesting individually portioned meals, and your service is priced accordingly. We’ll talk through what you’re looking for and build a plan that makes sense for you.
